Conference of the charitable mission “Association Espoer et Vie” 2024 in France
2024-05-30
Employees of the charity organization “Association Espoer et Vie” (Hope and Life) attended conferences in Valence, France on April 27, 2024. Natalia and Olga are employees of the French charity organization, which they represent in Lithuania. The organization “Association Espoer et Vie” has been cooperating with Lithuania for about 15 years. The goal of this organization is to help refugees from Ukraine and large families. French sponsors are the main sponsors of this organization, through which financial assistance is provided in Lithuania. The purpose of the visit to France was to provide an annual report to French sponsors on the charitable activities of our mission in Lithuania. The report was represented in the form of Excel tables, PowerPoint and oral explanation. This conference brought together all the leaders of the charitable mission from different countries who collaborate directly with the French mission. The visit to France was very difficult. The plane was canceled on April 25 due to a strike in France. Then the sisters missed the train and had to buy tickets again. On May 2, there was another strike in France. It happened on the day of departure from France. There were many critical warnings before the departure. As a result, the sisters were able to attend the conference thanks to Olya’s son, Lucas. They went by car (30 hours one way) and traveled through Lithuania, Poland, Germany (Berlin), Belgium, Luxembourg and France. In France they visited 6 cities: Paris, Leon, Valence, Ardèche, Dijon, Dieu. The car also broke down on the way to France. It took two days to repair it. But they were able to attend the conference. Thank God for Lucas! For his sacrifice! Thank God that there are such brothers in our Bible Way church!

Transfer of pastoral ministry to Marek Syrvyda (2024)
2024-04-04
The Senior Pastor of the “Bible Way” church, Anatoly Dmitruk decided to delegate his ministry to the church presbyter Marek Syrvida. The message of this decision was first heard on March 10, 2024, where presbyter Marek agreed to serve as Senior Pastor of the church. On Sunday March 31, 2024 this decision was sealed by the prayer of the brothers.
A little history of the senior pastor of the church, Anatoly Dmitruk:
Anatoly was born on April 1, 1959 (65 years old).
In 1976 he came to Vilnius and entered the Polytechnic Institute.
There, in a group, he met Cheslav Makutonovich. (They have been best friends and ministers of the Bible Way Church for 48 years).
For their religion, they were both expelled from the Institute on their 5th year.
1980/81 they joined an underground group of believers, where there were only 15 people.
1982 Anatoly married Katya Filimonova (the couple has 11 children and 28 grandchildren).
He was the leader of the worship team.
Later, he became a youth ministry leader.
In 1988 he was ordained to the deacon ministry.
In 1992 he was ordained to the presbytery ministry by Valery Anisovets (pastor of the church).
1998 Anatoliy became the Senior Pastor of the local church after the departure of Valery Anisovets who served for 26 years.
Anatoliy has also been a prison ministry chaplain for many years.
In 1998, construction of the church building began. The building was completed. After the fire, it was restored and is currently being expanded.
2024 Anatoly resigned as Senior Pastor. Overall, he served as pastor of the church for 32 years.
During his tenure as Senior Pastor, the church made a number of significant changes/promotions:
1) In 1990, the church moved from an (illegal) unregistered church to a (legal) registered church recognized by society.
2) The church became part of the united churches of Lithuania. For more than 20 years, ministers of our church have been participating in the pastor’s prayer breakfast, where all churches of Lithuania gather together.
3) The Church did not remain only Russian-speaking. The following languages were introduced: Lithuanian, Polish and, in exceptional cases, English. The service is held in three languages and preachers can speak in their own language. Headphones are provided for parishioners.
4) 2020, during the pandemic, online services and prayers were organized so that the flock could always receive spiritual food and prayer support. Currently created a church website, online prayer groups and church chat groups.
As a result, from 1980 to 2024, from an underground group of 15 people, the church grew to 691 people
Of these, about 400 people are members of the church at the moment. The rest have moved out (some have left) due to various circumstances, but many remain in fellowship with their church (brothers and sisters).
After completing all the duties of the Senior Pastor, Anatoly decided to transfer his ministry to Marek Syrvida, and he himself remained in the presbytery position at the Bible Way Church.
Bishop of Lithuania Fedor Baer gave parting words of instruction to the future Senior Pastor of the church.
Bishop of the Baltic States, Viktor Altukhov, supported this decision and gave parting words. With the approval of the entire church, a prayer was offered for brother Marek and his wife Luba (her husband’s assistant). The prayer was performed by Bishop of Lithuania Fyodor Baer, senior pastor Anatoly Dmitruk and pastor Cheslav Makutonovich.
Czeslav Makutonovich is also retiring and transferring his ministry to the young brothers. Czeslav served as a pastor for 25 years!
We wish our brother Marek a lot of love, which is capable of bearing everything, covering everything, so that he can continue to serve in love and patience.
