Ordination of Arkady and Yuri -2023

On April 16, 2023, the Easter holyday (Resurrection of Jesus Christ), the ordination took place at the “Bible Way” church. Brother Yuri Sorokin was ordained to the deacon’s ministry. Brother Arkady Ponomaryov was ordained to the pastoral ministry. In honor of this important event, four bishops arrived from different countries:

1. Fyodor Baer (Bishop of Lithuania);

2. Viktor Altukhov (Senior Bishop for the Baltic States);

3. Mikhail Chizh (Bishop in the field of education of the United Church of Evangelical Christians);

4. Alexander Churbakov (Bishop of Estonia)

Victor Altukhov, Mikhail Chizh and Alexander Churbakov gave instructions to the ordained ministers, and also addressed their wives, the life partners, with words of encouragement.

Yuri Sorokin has been leading the ministry of the prayer group in the local church, and home groups in the district Skydishkah and Vaidotey. He preaches at the local church, and has the gift of an evangelist. A characteristic from the church is ‘a prayerful man’. Yuri graduated from the Theological College in Kyrgyzstan, Tokmak in 1999.

Before his ordination to the pastoral ministry, Arkady Ponomarev carried the deacon’s ministry in the local church. He was the leader of the youth ministry and is one of the leaders of the home group in Naujoji Vilnia. He is the director of the children’s Christian camp “Bible Way”. Arkady graduated from Vilnius Theological College in 2013. We congratulate the new ministers of the Bible Way Church, Deacon Yuri Sorokin and Pastor Arkady Ponomarev!

Easter 2023

The whole world celebrates Easter: Catholics, Evangelists and Orthodox in their time. This holiday is recognized by everyone, regardless of denominations or beliefs. No one can be indifferent to the events that took place 2000 years ago, because no one can refute them. On the contrary, research is being carried out at various levels to learn more about it. Our “Bible Way” Church celebrated Easter, the feast of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, on April 9, 2023. The motto of the holiday was taken from the Holy Scripture: “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead…” (1 Cor.15:20).

The presbiter of the church, Marek Syrvida, shared a word about the resurrection of Christ. Deacon Zhilvinas shared a word of instruction. Sunday school children performed with psalms and poems on the theme of Easter. Guests expressed many greetings from other churches. The festive service continued with an informal part with refreshments and drinks, as well as pleasant fellowship. We thank everyone who made this holiday unforgettable: Sunday school teachers, children, cooks, youth and all those who contributed. May the Lord bless you!

Easter celebration for Children – 2023

The children of the “Bible Way” Church celebrated Easter on April 8, 2023. This event had evangelistic character and, on the other hand, tested the knowledge of the Holy Scriptures. A big game was held where the children traveled around Jerusalem at the time of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Those who knew the Scripture and answered the questions received extra points. The quiz was instructive and useful not only for the children of the church, but also for those invited to this event. The heroes of ancient events were dressed according to the old traditions of Judea and Rome. There was a shadow performance, describing the events of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, which took place 2000 years ago. Children answered questions, sang and actively participated in all tasks. At the end of the celebration, gifts were distributed to all the children who took part in the Easter celebration. Wedding of Dominikas and Monica 2023

Dominikas Jarušavičius and Monika Oleshkevičiūtė married in the “Bible Way” Church. The wedding took place on April 1, 2023. Dominikas is a son of the deacon of the church Dalyus Jarušavičius and Vilma. Monika is a daughter of Edik Oleshkevicius and Irina. Both families are members of the local church. Young people are actively involved in the church life. May the Lord bless the beginning of their life path and give everything necessary for living together and serving Him!

Birthday of Anatoly Dmitruk 2023

On behalf of the Bible Way Church, we congratulate our Senior Pastor, Anatoly Dmitruk, on his birthday! Andrey Napalkov, the Head of the Youth Ministry, addressed with words of encouragement on behalf of the youth. The youth sang a psalm and presented flowers. Senior Pastor Anatoly Dmitruk was born on April 1. This is a holiday not only for Anatoly, but for the whole church. On behalf of the church, we wish our dear Pastor long life and fruitful work in the field of God! The Lord does not place anyone on the retired list. Every age is useful and important for God’s work!

Wedding of Dmitry and Zhivilya 2023

The wedding occurred at the Bible Way Church on March 18, 2023! Dmitry Afanasenko and Zhivilya Kochan appeared in front of the church. The proposal of brother Dmitry to Zhivilya made them the heroes of the occasion. Zhivilya is a daughter of Maryan and Jurga Kochan, who are longstanding members of the Bible Way Church. They have been living in Norway. The groom is also from a Christian family that attends the local “Bible Way” church. Zhivilya Kochan and Dmitry are actively working among the youth of the Сhurch. We congratulate our young couple on this wonderful decision in their lives and wish them long life and fruitful work in God’s vineyard.

The Baltic States Conference for Teenagers – 2023

The Revelation church in Riga hosted the Baltic Conference for teenagers on March 18-19 of 2023. The theme of the conference was taken from the Scripture: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world” (1 John 5:4). Teenagers of the Bible Way church were invited with the leaders: David Karchmit, Alexander Grushchenko and Artur Zadoenko. Instruction was given by the elder brothers of the church. The program also included psalms, conversations, prayers, and a big game. Teenagers were satisfied with the trip, new acquaintances and excellent communication. Praise God for such a great opportunity!

Children’s fete “Heaven” – 2023

On February 18 of 2023, the children’s fete “Heaven” was held at the “Bible Way” church. The motto of the event was “Above all else, guard your heart…” (Prov. 4:23). The program of the fete included a performance for children, songs and a quiz. The presenters of the holiday were Anya and Zhivilya K. The event was attended by guests from Ukraine, other churches as well as close relatives and friends. At the end of the fete there was a treat for everyone: pizza, tea/coffee and various goodies. Thanks to the organizers and the action group who worked hard for the children’s fete. May God bless all the participants, organizers and TV operators!

Engagement of Adzhey Klyuenkov and Nadezhda Chizh – 2023

The voice of the bride and groom sounded again at the Bible Way Church on January 29 of 2023. Andrzej Klyuenkov made a propozal to Nadezhda Chizh. Nadezhda is from a large family of Mikhail and Elena Chizh. Mikhail Chizh is a bishop of Belarusian churches. We congratulate our young people on the bold decision made for their life! May the work which has begun in the Lord be blessed and our young ones appear in front of the church in a wedding gear. Also, congratulations to the parents of our young! When the Lord begins His work, He always brings it to the end!

Women’s Service 2023

In the church “Bible Way” a women’s service was held with the participation of Angelica Korob. The service was at 17:00 on January 22, 2023. The theme of the meeting was “When the soul hurts…” The theme is taken from the scripture “He hath sent me to proclaim release to the captives.., To set at liberty them that are bruised,” (Luke 4:18). The meeting was held in a cozy family circle, in an informal setting with tea and coffee. There were guests from other churches and, also, from Ukraine. There were testimonies, advices, and instructions. A prayer was performed at the end. We thank Angelica for visiting us and giving her time and energy to serve the sisters!
