Mission Day 2023

The Bible Way church hosted a mission day, where ministers of various evangelistic ministries give an account for the past year. The mission day took place on December 3 and 10, 2023. In total, we have 11 ministries:

1. Prison ministry – Anatoly Dmitruk (pastor) and Dalius Jarushavichus (deacon);
2. Rehabilitation House – Gennady and Tatyana Orlov;
3. Choir “Valio” – Gintare Krachkovska and Monika Jarusaviciene(also Ira and Karina Gafurov);
4. Indian ministry – Valery and Natalya Tumkevich;
5. Charitable service – Olya Usene and Natalya Tumkevich;
6. Ieškau Dievo – Vilma Jarusaviciene;
7. Internet site of the Bible Way church – Katya Mys;
8. Baltoji Voke – Pavel Molis;
9. “Barnabas” ministry – Arkady Ponomarev (church presbyter);
10. “Samaritan’s Basket” and “The Greatest Journey” – Kestas Ermanas;
11. Street evangelism – Algis Astrauskas and his team.

The purpose of the mission day is to present the work (ministry) of the church, to inform others, and to attract new people to serve the Lord. Also, advice, encouragement and prayer are important so that the work of God can advance and achieve great success. We thank all the ministers who work in God’s field!

Birthday of Pastor Cheslav Makutonovich 2023

On November 22, 2023, the second pastor of the church, Cheslav Makutonovich, turned 66 years old! Of these, he has been serving in the Bible Way Church for 44 years! He serves as a pastor in the local church. In honor of such an important event, the youth of the church sang a psalm and presented a bouquet of flowers! Words of gratitude were spoken by the youth leader, Andrei Napalkov, and the presbyter, Marek Syrvyda. Afterwards, the whole church prayed for our dear pastor. We wish our dear pastor even more years of fruitful life!

Seminar “Apologetics” – 2023

A seminar entitled “Apologetics” was held at the “Bible Way” church on November 25, 2023. The speaker of the seminar was Doctor of Humanities, Master of Religious Sciences, Theology Lecturer, and radio broadcaster on the subject of Apologetics, founder and host of the website Apologetika.lt, Laurinar Jasevičius.

The Apologetics aims to answer two main theological questions: Who do we believe in and why do we believe. The seminar was held in Lithuanian with translation into Russian. The seminar lasted from 11am to 6 pm with a lunch break. A special gratitude shall be expressed to the young brothers who cooked and fed the seminar participants all by themselves! Many thanks to Laurynas for such an important and wide-ranging topics which Christians face every day, e.g. very useful and meaningful information on how to correctly and accurately convey the Word of God to unbelievers. We thank the initiator of the seminar, Alexander Grushchenko, who is responsible for the educational part in the “Bible Way” church.

Christmas workshops 2023

In anticipation of the big Christmas holidays, “Christmas workshops” were organized at the “Bible Way” church on November 18, 2023. The organizer of the event is the head of the women’s ministry, Marina Khatkevich. Eight masters prepared materials for various kinds of handicrafts, so the children were given the opportunity to show their creativity. As a result, each master was given a symbolic gift. At the end of the event, a delicious lunch awaited the children. All participants were satisfied with their handmade Christmas souvenirs! Their parents showed great help to the children! We thank everyone: the organizers, the masters, the hostesses, and of all the participants! It seems like “Christmas workshops” will become a good tradition in our church!

Blessing of Children 2023

A blessing of children took place at the Bible Way Church on October 15, 2023. Four families decided to dedicate their children to the Lord. The good tradition of the church has its source in the Holy Scriptures, when Jesus Himself blessed children. As it is written in the Gospel of Mark: “…allow the little children to come to Me and do not hinder them, for to such is the kingdom of God (Mark 10:14). “And He took them up in His arms, put His hands upon them, and blessed them. (Mark 10:16). The purpose of the sacred rite is that parents make a vow to raise and instruct their children according to the word of God. This event is such important for families that family members up to the third generation present on such occasions. At the conclusion, each family was given a gift and flowers.

Harvest 2023

The “Harvest” holiday took place at the “Bible Way” church on October 1, 2023. Many evangelical churches celebrated Thanksgiving that Sunday. The tradition of the holiday is taken from the Holy Scriptures. The theme of the holiday was taken from the Bible: “In everything give thanks…” (1 Thess. 5:18). Bishop Fyodor Baer visited the church along with guests from Kaliningrad. Russian and Lithuanian groups of the Sunday School children performed psalms and recitations. Our children’s choir “Valio” performed as well. Paulina sang a psalm on the theme of the holiday. Also, the group “Silver” led by Maya participated in the program. Brother Alexander from Kaliningrad and brother Algis shared words of instruction. The Bishop Fyodor Baer concluded the official part of the sermon. In the informal part there were refreshments and pleasant conversation.

90th anniversary of Stasya Verbovich!

On September 29, 2023 Stasya Verbovich celebrated her 90^th birthday! Being a longtime member of the “Bible Way” Church, she is in control of senses and on her feet to this day. She gets to church on her own! She is a prayer in the Church who attends all the prayer meetings. She provided help to large families of the Church when her health allowed. It was no accident that the Church decided to congratulate her during the “Harvest holiday” on this remarkable 90^th anniversary. This is an example to follow – good fruits and fervent prayers! In honor of the significant anniversary, the elders of the Church presented flowers to the sister! Also, the house group of Stasya Verbovich presented flowers and expressed appreciation to the dear sister. We wish to see more such sisters in the church, and wish sister Stasia good health and peace of mind in Christ Jesus!

Teen Conference 2023

A Teenager Conference took place at the Bible Way Church on September 23, 2023. The conference lasted from 11am to 17pm in Lithuanian language (with translation into Russian). The motto of the conference is “The Lord is Real”! Teenagers from different churches of Vilnius attended the conference. The young pastor of the Church “Renewal”, Nikolai Tkachuk, spoke at the conference. Also, the program was attended by the leaders of the “Bible Way” Teenage Ministry, and others. The program was quite eventful. It included a word of instruction, a skit, a quiz, answers to questions, and a prayer. The teenagers loved it! We are grateful to the leaders of the Teen Ministry for their program, ministry, and work for the teens of the church!

Wedding of Donatas and Onute – 2023

The wedding of Donatas Dombrauskas and Onute Drazdite took place in the “Bible Way” church on September 16, 2023. Both are the members of the Bible Way Church. Onute comes from a large family, from a family of believers. Donatas has not been in the church for long, but he has a heart set on the Lord. We congratulate our young people on an important decision in their lives and wish them happiness! Special thanks to the hosts of the celebration, cameramen, feast managers, musicians, decorators and the team of cooks under the supervision of Marek Syrvyda! God bless you all!

Visit of delegation from the French mission “Association Espoir et Vie” to Vilnius on 09/14/2023

The French delegation of the charitable mission “Association Espoir et Vie” (Hope and Life) visited the “Bible Way” church in Vilnius from 13 to 18 of September of 2023. These are the main sponsors who help Ukrainian refugees in Vilnius through the Bible Way church. During this period, together we were able to visit several organizations where French charitable assistance was transferred:
1. Trakai Care and Social Services Center. “Trakų globos ir socialinių paslaugų centras.”
2. The “Bible Way” Charity Center in Naujoji Vilnia
3. Two Children’s Social Centers “Alfa 1” in Kaunas. (Leader Alma and Alpha).
4. Meeting with Ukrainian refugees in Vilnius, Lithuania.
5. Meeting with the widow Siguteja Bernotene (4 children).
6. Visit to the family of Tatiana and Gennady Deryugen (13 children) in the Ignalina district.
7. Report of the charitable mission “Association Espoir et Vie” at the “Bible Way” church, Vilnius.
8. Visit to the “Bible Way” Rehabilitation Center (directors Gennady and Tatiana) Vilnius.
