Harvest celebration – 2022

On October 2, 2022, the Harvest was celebrated at the “Bible Way” church. This holiday originates from the Bible, where people thank the Lord for harvest. The motto of the holiday was “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:22). The Bible Way Church celebrates the Harvest every year in acknowledgment of God’s gift of harvest and daily bread on the table. The festive program was attended by the Russian Sunday School groups (older and younger children), Lithuanian Sunday School groups (older and younger children), “Silver”, women’s ministry, youth choir, brother Dmitry and senior worship group. The festive program was led by the pastor of the church, Marek Syrvida. Words of instruction, songs, verses and thanksgiving prayers sounded on this day. The celebration was accompanied by refreshments and drinks. It ended with good communication, encouragement and a final appeal.

30 years of pastoral ministry of Anatoly Dmitruk in the “Bible Way” Church.

Senior Presbyter Anatoly Dmitruk is celebrating 30 years of pastoral service at the Bible Way Church. Anatoly Dmitruk was ordained to the pastoral ministry on October 2, 1992. The ministry of the pastor of the church was transferred to Anatoly by the former pastor of the church, Valery Anisovets. Since then, Anatoly Dmitruk has continued to serve as the pastor at the Bible Way Church. From the day the church was founded, he has been assisted in church leadership by the second pastor of the church, Cheslav Makutonovich, and the deacon, Leonid Khursin. The Church expresses its deep gratitude and respect to Anatoly Dmitruk for all the years of service in the Bible Way Church!

The wedding of Daniil Matveev and Irina Ivanichko took place in the “Bible Way” church. The wedding took place in the church building on September 17, 2022. Daniil Matveev is from a family of prophetic ministers. Irina came from Ukraine (Donetsk region), she is a daughter of a church deacon. Both young people come from large families. The funeral of sister Antonina Mishkinene took place on Thursday, September 15, 2022. Antonina died at the age of 74 after a long illness. Relatives, close ones, as well as many brothers and sisters from the Bible Way Church came to pay their final respects. The following was said about Antonina: “She was full of love and a good example for her close ones.” It was through her that many of her relatives came to know Christ and came to church. We express our condolences to the family and friends of sister Antonina. May the Lord comfort your hearts and make up for the loss of a person who was close to all of us.

Blessing for the new 2022-2023 academic year

On the last summer Sunday, a blessing for the new academic year took place at the “Bible Way” church. Every year the church blesses children, students and teachers (secular, Christian and other educational institutions) for the new academic year. In honor of this festive service on August 28, the children shared poems and songs. May the Lord bless everyone to have a successful and instructive academic year!

Children’s camp 2022

The “Bible Way” church held a Christian children’s camp in the Ignalina region. The camp took place July 25-31, 2022. The church mentors and helpers took care of 53 children. The camp coordinators were Dovydas and Yulia Yarushavichus. Arkady Ponomarev (deacon of the church) was its Director. The motto of the camp was “Under Sails” (marine theme).
Sport competitions.
The camp program included morning exercises, sports relay races, games – football, volleyball, square, etc.
Training program.
The program included trainings: first aid, fire drills and various crafts. The trainings were conducted by qualified specialists who directly work in the medical and fire fields.
Spiritual part.
Every day the mentors put on a scene from the Bible. Children prepared their events in groups together with mentors. There were psalms, prayers, reading of the Word and instruction. A prayer of repentance was performed at the final meeting.
The weather was good and nature was beautiful on the shore of the lake. 4 times a day the children had meals: very tasty and nutritious food. Eventually, everyone was both tired and satisfied with the camp and the wonderful outdoor recreation.

Dalia Baer, the wife of the bishop of the Baltic churches, Fyodor Baer. She gave birth to and raised 11 children. There are already 22 grandchildren in the Baer family. Dalia died at the age of 68 after a long illness on July 24, 2022. She spent 44 years being a good wife to Fyodor Baer. The funeral took place on July 27, 2022 in Kaunas. Relatives and friends, as well as brothers and sisters from other Lithuanian cities (churches): Kaunas, Vilnius, Alytus, Klaipeda, and from other countries: Estonia – Narva, Latvia – Riga, Germany, Ukraine, Russia – Kaliningrad, came to say goodbye to dear sister. The bishops from other countries came to support Fyodor Baer: Viktor Altukhov, Boris Shutov, Alexander Churbakov, Andrey Golyshev, along with presbyters of other churches: Rimas Karkauskas, Yuri Melnik, Valery Yarishchuk, Vladimir and deacons from Kaunas and Vilnius. Many words of encouragement were addressed to the blessed Baer family. In the words of the speakers, Dalia was called “a meek and silent friend.” The “Bible Way” church express condolences to all relatives and friends of sister Dalia, in particular, to her husband, brother and bishop, Fyodor Baer. May the Lord help and strengthen you and your family during this difficult time.

Arkady Ponomarev shared the word on “The practical life of a Christian through the Lord’s Prayer”. The young brothers Tomas Krachyus, Dima Afanasenko and Andrzej Klyuenkov also shared the word. This was a wonderful holiday on the lake with spiritual reinforcement and guidance.

Andrus Danilevičius is from the Biblical Way Church, and Maria is from the Rising Light Church. This is the second marriage union between our churches. We congratulate our young couple on this wonderful and serious decision for their lives. May the Lord richly bless you with all His blessings!

Baptism 2022

On July 2, 2022 the “Bible Way” church had water baptism on Tapelei lake. Eight souls entered into the covenant with the Lord. It pleases the heart that the guys from the rehabilitation center of Gennady and Tatiana were among the baptized. Also, two sons of the “Bible Way” church deacons entered into the covenant with the Lord. The pastors (Cheslav Makutonovich and Marek Syrvida) and brothers of the church shared the word for the baptized. Water baptism was carried out by the presbyter of the church, Marek Syrvida, and the deacon, Žilvinas Jablonskis. Since this is a holiday not only for those who are being baptized, but for the whole church, the holiday was followed with refreshments, fellowship and outdoor recreation. In conclusion, a prayer was offered and congratulations were expressed for the baptized. Bibles and certificates were presented as memorable gifts, as a memory of an important event in their lives.
The Scripture says: “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved…” (Mark 16:16).
