Samaritan’s Purse 2024

On December 21, 2024, the Bible Way Church held a Christmas party for children. It was an evangelistic event for children and their parents to remind them of the true meaning of Christmas. There were a lot of people who wanted to get in, so the performance was held in three stages at 11:00, 14:00, and 17:00. The title of the performance is A Gift of Thanks. After the performance, all children aged 0-14 were given gifts from the organization Samaritan’s Purse. Many church members, even entire families, participated in the performance. All the children who came, received gifts and were very pleased. Thanks for the holiday to Kęstas Ermanas (responsible for the Samaritan’s Basket mission)! Thanks to the scriptwriters and actors for the performance, as well as to all those who took part and served in organizing and holding this grandiose play! Special thanks to Velita and Natasha for the costumes! It’s a masterpiece! The costumes turned out wonderful!

Missions Report 2024

A missions report for the past year was held at the Bible Way Church. Since many ministers are involved in the church life and not only, the missions report was held on three Sundays – December 1, 8, and 15, 2024. The following presented their work reports:
1. Street evangelism – Algis Astrauskas.
The team consists of 11-12 people. They visit shelters. The goal is to bring God’s love and the gospel to people on the streets of the city.
2. Ministry The House of Mercy (rehabilitation center) – Gennady and Tatyana Orlov.
3. The Barnabas ministry – Arkady Ponomarev (pastor of the church).
The team consists of 12-13 people. The goal of the ministry is to help new people integrate into the church.
4. Ministry to orphans in India. Mission “Good Hands” – Oleg Shnitkov (representative of the ministry in Lithuania). There are about 90 sponsors from 5 churches in Lithuania.
5. Ministry in Baltoe Voke – Pavel Molis.
Evangelism to the local population in Baltoe Voke. There are 2 permanent points.
6. Chaplaincy ministry in prisons – Anatoliy Dmitruk (pastor of the church).
Anatoliy has been in this ministry for 20 years. Now he serves in the prison of Marijampole, where three meetings are held in a row once a week.
Parishioners are prisoners of free, strict and life-long regime.
7. Search for God online – Vilma Jarušavičienė.
Website: ieškauDievo.lt, where people are introduced to Christ.
8. Children’s choir “Valio” – Gintare Kachkovskaya.
Gintare has been leading the children’s choir “Valio” for 15 years. This is a children’s missionary project, where children travel around Lithuania and other countries singing songs about Christ. In her report, Gintare expressed gratitude to her team, parents and their children for all the years of support and joint work.
9. “Samaritan’s Purse” – Kestas Ermanas (responsible for the evangelistic project throughout Lithuania). The goal of the project is to introduce as many children and their parents as possible to Christ and give them gifts. Also, a book is included with this gift – a step-by-step instruction to Christ. This project continues after evangelism, where children are taught within the church.

11. Interviews with church ministers – Andrzej Kluenkov.
“Ask and Talk” website, YouTube. The team travels all over Lithuania looking for candidates for interviews. The goal is to show what the church lives by. Interviews with church ministers are released on YouTube every month.
12. Charity mission “Hope and Life” – Natalia Tumkevich.
The goal of the mission is to help refugees from Ukraine and large families. Natalia has been serving since 1997 (27 years). (At the moment, Natalia is leaving the charity ministry within the church and transferring it to Virginia Ermanienė).
13. Tvardaris team (order service) – Kazys Šustikas.
Kazys also carries out a prayer ministry before the service.
14. Translation ministry – Andrzej Kluenkov and Romualdas Usas.
The church service is translated into 3 languages: Russian, Lithuanian, English. There are 12 people in the translation team.
15. Video broadcast and sound – Timofey Dmitruk (operator).
The church service is held online/offline. Technical operators provide video broadcast for those who cannot get to the church. There is also video and audio recording. The team consists of 14 people. Timofey, as the person in charge, has been carrying out this service for 21 years.
16. Sunday school director – Alexander Grushchenko.
The Sunday school has 3 Lithuanian and 4 Russian classes. There are about 80 children in the school. 26 teachers work at the school within the church.
17. Refreshments – Vladimir and Natalia Melnik.
Tea/coffee is organized after the service every Sunday. Yanina Butkevich’s team also participates in this service together with Pavel Svoboda and Valya Oleshkyavichute.
18. Reconstruction of the prayer house – Marek Syrvyda (senior pastor of the church).
19. The church building maintanence – Alexander Garntsev (church deacon). Overseeing the prayer house.
20. Church watchman – Valery Magazeev. (chief minister of the church).
21. Literature department – Tatyana Zaitseva and Maya Levdina.
22. Church cleaning – Tatyana Zaitseva and Yuri Sorokin (church deacon).
23. Cashier and accountant – Alexander and Renata Garntsev.
24. Kitchen within the church – Veniamin Shnitkov and his team.
25. Prayer service – Yuri Sorokin.
At the end of the presented services, Pastor Marek prayed for all who serve in the church.

On December 7, 2024, the already traditional “Christmas Workshops” were held in the “Bible Way” church. This time, the masters of creative products were Ira Oleshkyavichene, Olya Sirekanyan, Rita Kachinskaya, Natalia Melnik, Lidiya Neri, Lena Ashkelovich and Elmira Alutis.
Once again, on the eve of Christmas, both children and adults gathered together to learn how to make crafts and gifts with their own hands, and spend time with friends in warm communication. After a hard day, everyone was treated to a delicious lunch. We thank all the masters, organizers, all the children and parents who took part in this wonderful event!

On December 7, 2024, the already traditional “Christmas Workshops” were held in the “Bible Way” church. This time, the masters of creative products were Ira Oleshkyavichene, Olya Sirekanyan, Rita Kachinskaya, Natalia Melnik, Lidiya Neri, Lena Ashkelovich and Elmira Alutis.
Once again, on the eve of Christmas, both children and adults gathered together to learn how to make crafts and gifts with their own hands, and spend time with friends in warm communication. After a hard day, everyone was treated to a delicious lunch. We thank all the masters, organizers, all the children and parents who took part in this wonderful event!
