The funeral of Paulina Savitskaya

2021-11-03

At the age of 85, our dear sister Paulina Savitskaya go to a better world. She died in a hospital from a corona virus on October 5, 2021. Paulina and her husband Ivan were members of the Bible Way Church for 27 years. Despite the fact that they did not have children of their own, Paulina helped many families with many children and helped to look after their kids. She served with good deeds and was a light for many people who met her along the way. In her entire life, she did not go to doctors and she did not have a medical card. And only at the end of her life, her relatives started a medical card which helped her to be admitted to the hospital for the first time. Her hope was Christ, and God gave her to live a long, fulfilling life. The sister is with God now, but we will miss her very much.

Harvest celebration and the Evening of Praise and Worship 2021.

2021-11-03

The church celebrated Harvest on October 3, 2021. The motto of the event was “Give thanks in all circumstances…” (1 Thess. 5:18). This is a special day as on this day the church gives praise and thanksgiving to the Lord for a bountiful harvest and bread on the table. In the official part, Pastor Anatoly, Deacon Tadas, Brother Marius and Presbyter Marek Syrvida shared the word of edification. Also, a worship team, youth, “Silver” and sisters separately sung psalms. Poems and songs were prepared by the younger Lithuanian group and the younger Russian group from the Sunday school. During the second part of the service, everyone got treats: drinks and various sweets.

At 17 o’clock of the same day, the Thanksgiving continued with an Evening of Praise and Worship. In celebration of the Day, guests from Belarus, Ukraine, Kiev and Denmark came to visit the church. Also, there were guests from the other churches of Vilnius: Living Stones, True Word and The House of Prayer. During the Evening of Praise and Worship the team from the Living Stones church and the local worship team led by Katya Mys were singing psalms.

The Church of God is not nourished by daily bread alone, which God gives us every day, but also by spiritual bread which feeds our spirit. Both that and other bread are necessary for life. But, our daily bread is given to us for strengthening the flesh, and spiritual bread is for the eternal life!

Blessing of children and teachers for the coming school year.

2021-09-15

On August 26, 2021 the Bible Way Church leaders blessed Public school and Sunday school teachers, students of higher educational institutions of Lithuania, schoolchildren of secular schools, and toddlers who attend Sunday school at the local church. It is a joy to see many children and teachers in the church after a long period of isolation. In this difficult time, both prayers to the Lord and a blessing from Him are very necessary and important so that the entire academic year would pass safely for children as well as for teachers. May the mercy of the Lord accompany the children of Sunday school, Public schools and the teachers who share their knowledge passing it on to the future generation!

Children’s camp 2021

2021-08-11

From July 26 to August 1, a children’s camp was held in the Ignalina region on the shore of the lake in the midst of the green nature. Children from the Bible Way church and from other churches came to the camp coordinated by Dovidas and Yulia Yarushavichus. The camp leaders and helpers came from the Bible Way church. The week at the camp was very busy with many activities: morning exercises, Bible lessons “Morning Dew”, games, sports activities, workshops – artistic decorations, chapels with praise and prayer of repentance, and, in free time, swimming in the lake and entertainment. The children were very happy. Many of them, after a long break from the pandemic, were able to meet their friends and make some new friends as well. Children missed live communication, big games and joint prayers. It was a very busy and fruitful week where live communication, games and real prayers took place.
