Father’s Day

The Bible Way Church celebrated Father’s Day on the first Sunday of June. This holiday in honor of fathers is celebrated throughout Lithuania. It has become a tradition in Lithuania relatively recently. In honor of dear dads, the younger Lithuanian/Russian Sunday groups shared a recitation. Simona Ermanaite sang a psalm to dear dads. Andrius Danilyavichus recited the verse “The earthly image of the father.” The youth congratulated their fathers by singing a psalm of gratitude. At the end of the holiday, there was a prayer for all fathers, and in conclusion, sweet prizes were awarded to all the fathers of the church.

The Day of Pentecost

On June 5, 2022, the “Bible Way” church celebrated the Day of Pentecost, the descent of the Holy Spirit. This day is also known as “The Birth of the Church”. The motto of the holiday is from the Acts of St. Apostles “…but you will receive power” (Acts 1:8). When Jesus went to His Father, He left the promise of the Holy Spirit, the power of God coming in place of Him. In honor of this holiday, the church choir sang a hymn of praise. The deacon of the church, Žilvinas, shared the word. In conclusion, the pastor of the church, Anatoly Dmitruk, shared a message about “the Day of Pentecost, the descent of the Holy Spirit.” The festive service ended with a call and prayer for those who came forward.

On May 16, 2022 the funeral Nadezhda Zemnitskaya took place. Nadezhda passed into eternity on May 15, at the age of 86. She was an orphan and it is difficult to find a specific date of her birth. The Baltic Youth Conference of 2022

The “Baltic Youth Conference” was held at the “Bible Way” church from May 13 to 15, 2022. The youth conference was attended by young people from Estonia (77 people), Latvia (74 people), Poland (18 people), Ireland (4 people), Norway (4 people), Ukraine (16 people), Sweden (3 people), Russia (1 person), Israel (3 persons), and by guests from other churches in Lithuania (115 people). The total number of guests at the conference made 315. Among Lithuanian churches we had guests from “Rising Light” Church, Lepkalne, Lentvaris, and Pabrade.

The motto of the conference was “And you shall receive power…” (Acts 1:8). The brothers shared the word and discipling for the youth.

Andrey Napalkov (youth leader, Vilnius) shared a word on the topic “Receive the power andshall be my witnesses”;

Dmitry Kryachkov (youth leader, Riga) spoke “On the Guidance of God”;

Fedor Baer (Bishop of Lithuania) shared a word on the topic “And receive the power”;

David Skrypnik (Youth Leader of Lentvaris) shared a word on the topic “The Holiness of Our Ministry”;

Victor Altukhov (Bishop of Latvia) shared a word on the topic “God’s power possesses Christians”;

Alexander Churbakov (Bishop of Estonia) spoke about “Gifts of the Holy Spirit”;

Aleko Gvenetadze (deacon of the “Revelation” church, Riga) shared a word on the topic “Reasons for the quenching of the Holy Spirit”;

Anatoly Dmitruk (senior pastor of the “Bible Way” church in Vilnius), shared a word on the topic “Baptism in the Holy Spirit”. As a result, a sister, who came out to pray, received the Holy Spirit.

Alexander Skrypnik (Bishop of Kaliningrad) shared a word on the topic “What hinders the power of God in us?”

The youth also shared poems, psalms and testimonies.

At the conference there were frequent calls to prayer, it should be noted that they were very hot and loud. In these difficult days, young people are looking for the face of God with great thirst. There was a word from God through vessels, there were visions and teaching through prophecies. At the end of the conference there were answers to questions, conversations and prayers. Mother’s Day 2022

On the first Sunday of May, the “Bible Way” church celebrated dear mothers. The head of the women’s ministry, Marina Khatkevich led and organized the holiday. The pastor of the church, Anatoly Dmitruk, congratulated all the mothers. Children performed songs and poems dedicated to mothers. Gennady Orlov shared his a testimony from his childhood and sang several author’s songs. One of them was dedicated to his dear wife, sister and mother, beloved Tatyana. Jurate and Marina shared their poems. The youth sang a psalm dedicated to all mothers. Sister Mary shared a verse of Vera Kushnir (Vera Kushnir is a famous Christian writer). Brother Leonid expressed gratitude to all mothers and sang a psalm to everyone: to wives, mothers and grandmothers. Alesya shared her testimony about an orphanage where 43 children arrived from Ukraine (Kirovograd region). Yura (Alesya’s husband, they work together in the orphanage) said a prayer to God for orphans. Natalia (from Rovno, Ukraine) sang a psalm for all mothers. Asta shared a poem she wrote at a difficult time in her life. Also, she shared her testimony about her correct, but very difficult decision she made. A video clip was created (by a Lithuanian group), where the children talked about their mothers and every child said his/her wish. At the end of the wonderful holiday, Anatoly and Leonid (the leadership of the church) sang their remake of a famous psalm devoted to dear mothers. At the end, all mothers were given flowers with warm words of encouragement and thanksgiving.

Last Sunday, Lithuania celebrated the great Easter holiday, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is one of the main holidays both in the Christian world and in our church. The Easter holiday was celebrated at the Bible Way Church on April 17, 2022. The catchword of the festive service was taken from the scripture “…Christ risen from the dead…” (1 Corinthians 15:20).

On this holiday there was a festive service with many participants; it was divided into two parts: official and unofficial. In the official part, the combined worship group sang psalms. The Lithuanian Sunday school group shared poems. The Russian senior Sunday school group sang a psalm. Daniil Makutonovich shared his Lithuanian sermon on the topic “Supporting Team”. Children who took part in the Easter drawing competition received prizes. The last sermon was shared by Anatoly Dmitruk, pastor of the local church. At the conclusion of the official part, there was a call to begin a new life with Jesus Christ starting from this day of Easter. Then there was an informal part with treats, communication, meeting new people and a photo session. The service ended with a prayer of thanks.

Seminar “How to keep teenagers”

On Saturday – April 2, 2022, a seminar was held at the Bible Way Church for parents of teenagers and leaders of the youth ministry. This seminar was intended to answer the question: “What can we do together as a church for our teenagers?” The speakers of the seminar were the leaders of the youth ministry: David Karchmit, Olexander Grushchenko, Vitaly Romanchik and Artur Zadoenko. Also, the leader of the youth, Andrey Napalkov and Oksana Krangach, who work with teenagers of the younger group, shared a word. The purpose of the meeting was to improve our youth ministry. Parents shared their advices, leaders shared their work experience, and all this was recorded to make the work with teenagers more effective. A very important meeting turned out to be. Therefore, the meeting was enlightening and productive both for the leaders of the teen ministry, as well as for the parents.

Wedding of Anatoly Tarasov and Nelya Makutonovich took place in the Bible Way Church on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Anatoly Tarasov proposed to Nelya Makutonovich. Neli is a member of the church in Lentvaris. She is from the family of the church pastor Czesław and Vera Makutonovich. There are 16 children in their family! Anatoly is from Belgium.
