Еvening of praise and worship

On March 1st, the first day of spring, the Bible Way Church hosted an evening of praise and worship. Several worship groups performed during the evening. As many as 25 guests came Jekabpils, Latvia. Other guests came from Pabrade. Our friends united with the Bible Way church in worship to glorify and express gratitude to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Seminar for Sunday school teachers.

February 15-16, there was a seminar for Sunday school teachers at the Bible Way Church. It took place from 11am to 6pm. Victoria Bortko, a guest from Riga was a speaker at the seminar with a motto “Life-changing lessons.”. There were reward games during the workshop. Victoria showed one example of a Sunday school lesson where our Sunday school teachers were involved directly. It was a fun, useful and instructive event.

Evangelization in Anykščiai

January 16, 2020. Children’s choir “Valio!” held an evangelistic program in Anyksciai. Biruta Venteraitene assisted the children’s choir in the holiday program held in 2 schools: Anykščių r. “Svėdasų Juozo Tumo – Vaižganto gimnazija” and “Anykščių Antano Vienuolio progimnazija”. The head and regent of the choir “Valio!” – Gintare Kachkowska. The children participated in games, had warm communication, talked about the birth of Jesus Christ. At the end of the holiday program, children were given gifts from Germany called “Samaritan’s Purce”. After the holiday, children were invited to the local evangelical church, where children were treated to pizza, juice and various snacks. Birute Venteraitene gave the children a tour of Anykščai. The kids saw the largest stone in Lithuania named “Puntukas Boulder”. They were able to climb the tall tower called the Rubikey. Its height is 15 meters. They visited the monkey bridge and saw a lot of birdhouses. The holiday excursion lasted all day, but the children returned contented and happy.

Christmas Evangelization at the Media School

Christmas evangelization for elementary school students took place on January 10, 2020 at the school “Media” at 27 Medeinos Str. The children’s choir “Valio!” participated in the program. The Bible Way Church represented a play called “Children’s Christmas”. The audience was involved in playing games. The children actively and cheerfully participated and congratulated each other on Christmas. At the end of the Christmas program, the children received 45 gifts from Germany named “Samaritan’s Purse”. Kestutis Ermanas, our community member is leading the program in Lithuania for delivery of these gifts. The children and their parents were very pleased with the Christmas program and, of course, with gifts!

Day Camp for Teenagers

From Jan. 2nd to Jan. 4th, 2020, the Bible Way Church held its first day camp named Friendship at the Sky for teenagers from 12 to 15 years old. The initiators and organizers of the camp were Oksana Krangach, pastor Andrey Fomin, and his wife Natalya (guests from Ukraine). In the teenage camp there were participants from three churches. The words from John 15:14: “You are my friends” became the camp motto. Teenagers actively participated in the program during these three days. They played games and had relay races, took part in a seminar with Pastor Andrey, prayed, sang songs, communicated at the dinner table and, of course, received prizes. The children were very pleased and wished this good start had a sequel.

Christmas dinner for the Indian Ministry Sponsors

On December 30, a Christmas dinner was held for the sponsors of India at the Bible Way Church. Tatyana Malinovskaya came from the USA (Sacramento) to take part in the event. Other guests came from Germany and Poland. According to Tatyana Malinovskaya: “Europe is more self-giving”. From the reports we learned that 1,200 wells were built and about six and a half thousand orphans are supported in India. Also camps for leprous and sick people receive sponsorship. At a sponsor dinner, Tatyana presented the Mission of Jacob Marineni who established missions in India. Valery Tumkevich, curator of the mission in Vilnius, made a financial report. Sponsors shared their edifying evidences. The participants collected donations to the orphans of India for New Year’s gifts and a word of encouragement and a prayer of thanks sounded in conclusion.

Christmas celebration in Pabrade

Christmas celebration in Pabrade was organized by a small local evangelical church. Their devotion and effort are so great that they gather almost the entire town of Pabrade for this Christmas presentation. Lolita Vilimene, the head of the Community Centre annually furnishes the local church with the building for the Christmas holidays. The Vilnius children’s choir “Valio!”, the bear Panda, the brown bear, a cheerful couple: Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and a girl dance group performed at the festival. Every year, the hall is crowded with children and parents., about 500 “Samaritan’s Basket” gifts were distributed at the festival on December 30.

Investment of the Children’s Choir “Valio!”

The children’s choir “Valio!” had lots of activities during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The choir “Valio!” is a children’s evangelistic group that proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ through its songs. Children attended 5 different events during the holidays.
In the children’s day center “Veriškiai” on December 14th.
At the Bible Way church before the Christmas play on December 21st.
In the “Vaidila Theater” (7 Basanavichaus Str.) on December 22nd.
At the Bible Way Church during the Christmas meeting on December 29th.
In Pabrade, December 30, children performed during the Christmas meeting.
These Christmas events were held to tell people the main essence of the Christmas. To our joyful surprise, the halls at all the events were crowded. Children didn’t just hear the Good News about the birth of the baby Jesus, but also received gifts from Germany called “Samaritan’s Basket”; Its leader in Lithuania is our community member Kestutis Yermanas.

Christmas Morning Meeting

December 29th, a Christmas morning meeting was held at the Bible Way Church. The pastor of the church Anatoly Dmitruk shared a word of greeting. The group “Silver”, the children group “Christmas Joy” directed by Gintare Kachkovskaya and the orchestra directed by Yolita Yermanene performed at the Christmas meeting. Children recited poems, sang songs. At the end of the sermon there was a call and a prayer. Friends and relatives were invited to the celebration. The meeting was concluded by refreshments and drinks. There was a lot of joyful communication with friends and relatives.

Children’s Christmas Celebration

December 21st, two Christmas performances for children were held at the Bible Way Church. They took place at 1 and 5 p.m. The goal of event was to invite schoolchildren and friends who do not know God and get the good news of the birth of Jesus Christ to them. The author and coordinator of the event was the member of our community Vilma Jarushevichene. At the conclusion of the Christmas performance, Christmas gifts “Samaritan Basket” were waiting for the children. The children’s choir “Valio!” and the choir leader Gintare Kachkovskaya rendered songs before the play. And the biggest impression was made by the play “Children and Narnia”. The plot of the children’s play was made on a biblical motive, so that it is easier for children to give clues of the Gospel. The church was full during both performances. Children took an active part and were very pleased with the Christmas event. All of them received gifts from Germany. At the end of the event there was a photo session with the characters from the play “Children and Narnia”.
