The National Day of Prayer

We live in the last days. Much of what comes into the life of our country and church we cannot change. But God can do anything. He just waits for people to call on Him. Just like He once heard the cry of Israel in Egypt and delivered them.
On December 1, 2018 in Vilnius “Litexpo” Exhibition Centre, evangelical Churches of Lithuania are getting together to raise their voice in prayer for our country. There will be two services on that day.
12.00 Prayer Service. The pastors of various Churches will raise the most urgent issues for Lithuania to be prayed for.
16.00 A sermon with the participation of a well-known preacher from Great Britain David Hathaway
The entrance is free. Besides the sermons and prayers, there will be a lot of worship music, singing, a special program for children and the distribution of gifts provided by the Samaritan’s Purse organization.

Harvest Celebration

The harvest time has not yet ended in the fields of Lithuania, but Church has already come to the Lord with the words of sincere gratitude. People work in the fields, factories and shops. Thanks to their efforts and hard work we have food on our tables. We do realise that it wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for God. He enjoined the sun to shine and to warm, sent rain in due time, gave energy and health to people so that they could work. We should always keep this in mind. In Bible Way Church on September 30th we celebrated the day of Harvest and Thanksgiving. There was a lot of worship, poetry and sermons. We had some guests from Poland – about 40 pastors and church leaders participated in our service. As usual, after the main service some refreshments were served to the guests and church members.

Water Baptism

A second water baptism has taken place in Bible Way Church this year. Five people made a covenant with God. Only one person comes from a family of believers, the rest are people from the world. Quite a number of people came to witness the occasion. God blessed this important church event. Terrible weather had been predicted , but God gave us peace and quiet. After the baptism we returned to the church, where refreshments were prepared. Then, the baptised participated in their first Eucharist (the Lord’s SUpper)
On the following day, during the Sunday service, the baptised were introduced to the congregation and received the Bible as a gift and a Water Baptism Certificate to remind them the about the most important decision they made in their lives.

A worship evening

Summer holidays and vacations are over. It time to get back to school and work again. We decided that it would be proper to begin a new year by praying and expressing gratitude. For this reason on Sunday evening we had a worship evening service. A great number of people from the other Vilnius churches attended the service, which was very inspiring and worshipful. There was a lot of music and prayer. We did enjoy that precious time with the Lord.

A visit to South Korea

Pastor Anatoly and a few people from Lithuania were invited to South Korea to participate in an international missionary conference for the youth. The purpose of the conference was to encourage young people of Korea and Europe not only to study to have a job, but also to enter Biblical educational institutions in order become missionaries.

Besides the days spent at the conference, we also attended various meetings, went on excursions, participated in church services. The highlight of the journey was a visit to the biggest Church in Seoul (700 thousand members), led by pastor David Yonggi Cho.
